Shadab Choudhury

I received my Master's in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where I was advised by Dr. Lara Martin and worked on affective and personalized text generation for AAC applications.

My research interests span interdisciplinary work in Human-AI Collaboration for Accessibility, with a particular focus on Explainability and Reliability. I want to answer the question of: How can people using AI tools for accessibility acknowledge explanations and contest errors in the outputs when they are incapable of perceiving the ground truth?

Won the Best First Time Hackers Category at HackUMBC 2024 with Naren . We built Valkyrie, a system that parses video game controls with a VLM, then uses a LLM to convert speech to commands.
